If you’re planning on lucid dreaming, you should know that for you to do it, you’ll need to be able to either enter it directly or to be able to tell that you’re dreaming.

These methods, which we discuss on this website as well as the mail series we have, can be hard to achieve due to the need of one being consistent to do it by themselves. There, however, other options.

One of the most commonly talked about solutions is the use of lucid dream induction devices. These devices will signal you, without waking you up, that you’re in a dream. These signals come in the form of bright lights that appear in your dreams. Of course that you’ll still have to train yourself to react to those lights and question reality at those points, but it makes it much easier than waiting for a dream sign to get triggered.

This method is commonly refered as an Externally Induced Lucid Dream (EILD) and is actually a very reliable way of inducing a lucid dream.

These devices can be obtained through several manufacturers, but they come off as devices that cost several hundred dollars in some cases.

However, you can actually build your own lucid dream induction device! It will take you some knowledge on electronics, but it’s fairly easy and cheap to make.

You can get the full guide to build your own device here.
